La Liga Betting Predictions

The 21st La Liga matchweek is upon us and it could prove to be quite an eventful one. The biggest fixture of this round will happen on Saturday when Barcelona will travel to face Valencia. The other title candidates have an easier job this week. Atletico Madrid are hosting Leganes at the Wanda Metropolitano while Real Madrid are traveling away from home to face Valladolid. There is one more interesting fixture that we have to mention and it’s happening on Saturday night. Sevilla are hosting Granada in what can be a fantastic match as both teams are fighting for a TOP 4 spot. However, more about that below in our La Liga predictions.

The hosts had a chance to reach the 5th spot on the table; however, their performance in the last round was very bad. Valencia lost 4-1 to Mallorca, a side that’s barely sitting above the relegation zone. If they hope to be a TOP 4 contender, games like the one last week shouldn’t happen to this Valencia side. They also lost against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup as they failed to be featured in the final even though they won the Copa del Rey last year. It was Barcelona who they defeated in the final last season as they lifted the trophy and their fans will be hoping that they can get all 3 points on Saturday.

After losing to Atletico in the semi-final of the Super Cup, the Barcelona board decided to sack their coach. Former Betis coach Setien was brought in as replacement. In his first match, the Catalans had a tough fixture against Granada. However, the team performed very well in that game. Even though goals were scarce, the performance of some players was much better than before. Barcelona eventually managed to break Granada down as Messi scored the only goal of the game. This weekend, they have an even harder match against Valencia. What makes things more complicated is that they are playing away from home and the Catalans have not been good away from their fans this season.

In the reverse fixture this season, Barcelona scored 5 goals past this Valencia side. However, that match happened during the internal problems that Valencia had. This time it will be a different match but Barcelona should have enough quality to come out as winners. For that reason, we are backing an Away Side Victory.

Coach Simeone claimed that his team is getting back to old habits after their surprise loss to Eibar in the previous round. Atletico Madrid were very unlucky to lose that Super Cup final against Real Madrid which is what led to a very bad performance against Eibar. However, the team needs to bounce back as fast as possible because they can’t afford to drop any more points. They are 8 points behind the table leaders and another slip will probably have them out of the title race. Leganes are not a side that has troubled them in the past, especially when Atletico were playing at home. Their fans won’t accept anything but a win on Sunday.

The visitors are having a very bad season so far. They are one of the teams which was doing a good job last year but are now facing a tough relegation battle. In the last round, they lost 0:3 to Getafe even though Leganes were playing at home. This week it will be even harder as they have to travel and face Atletico Madrid who are a side that can’t drop any more points at this point in the stage. The best Leganes could hope for is a draw because the last time they defeated Atletico at home was back in 2002 when both sides were playing in the Segunda Division.

Quality wise, Atletico are absolute favorites for this fixture. Additionally, they are in a situation where losing points is not an option. They also have home turf advantage which means everything points to their victory. That’s why we are backing a Home Side Victory & Over 1.5 Goals outcome.

Real Valladolid vs Real Madrid >> click here for live odds

The hosts are located in the bottom part of the table; however, they are doing just well enough to avoid relegation. They are currently 6 points above the relegation zone and they will want to keep it that way. Nevertheless, Valladolid have to face one of the best teams in the league and even though they have home turf advantage, stopping Real Madrid will be extremely hard. However, the reverse fixture, earlier in the season did end with a draw so Valladolid could hope for the same because this time around, they will be playing at home.

Zidane finally returned Madrid to where they should be. At the moment, Madrid are sharing the 1st spot on the table with Barcelona. They also managed to defeat Atletico Madrid in the final of the Super Cup which brought them nice trophy. Real Madrid are going to attack for the title all the way to the end which is why they can’t be dropping points against teams like Valladolid. This team already caused them 2 points in the reverse fixture and Madrid will be out for revenge even though they are playing away from home. They are performing very well at the moment which should be enough to bring them 3 points on Sunday.

Real Madrid are favorites to win this one as they need to keep up with Barcelona on the table. Valladolid will try to avoid a loss but Madrid are in good form and it’s unlikely that they can put up another surprise like in the reverse fixture. However, they can score because Madrid haven’t been the best defensively. For that reason, we are backing an Over 2.75 Goals outcome.
